Belonging Project at HOLYWELL

Yesterday marked the launch of The Belonging Project exhibition at the Holywell DiverseCity Community Partnership. The launch featured a talk by photographer Laurence Gibson in which he discussed the history and goals of the project, and gave audience members a glimpse behind the scenes of the of the exhibition. Following the talk, Belfast Migrant Centre staffer Jolena Flett facilitated a workshop with the youth from Derry's Reach Across organization. They were a great and enthusiastic group, and during the workshop were able to discuss topics of identity, stereotypes, and what it means to belong.

The exhibition will continue to run at Holywell through the end of the month, so all of you in Derry should be sure to stop by and check it out!
